Style Check
Life changes prompt a look re-evaluation
Issue: May 2010

After her 15-year marriage ended in divorce about two years ago, Glen Allen resident Cathy Lukaszewicz decided it was time to update her appearance. “You start figuring yourself out again,” she says. The Syracuse, N.Y., native, who turns 43 in May, works as controller for a Richmond-based investment-services firm. She hadn’t changed her hairstyle in years, didn’t wear much makeup and her wardrobe, she says, was “a mishmash — I’m kind of drifting between styles.” A camping and sailing enthusiast, she says, “I’m fairly no-fuss, but I still want to look good.” With guidance from a team assembled by wardrobe and style consultant Diana Seaman of Radiant Style Made Simple, Lukaszewicz has discovered a more elegant look that’s still within her comfort zone. Here, in a series of photos, we take a look at the makeover in progress.
