When Michelle Logan opened Richmond Balance (1806 E. Main St., 343-1234; other locations listed at richmondbalance.com), she’d just gotten married. Remembering how important it was to look her best on her big day, she decided to launch a boot camp for brides-to-be. Programs can be personalized from one session up to a much longer training regimen (the traditional camp lasts 12 weeks). “Ideally, we tell people to come in about six months before their wedding because the last two months are so stressful with last-minute planning,” Logan says.
Richmond Balance also offers a customized pre-wedding session for the bridal party. “Some brides want a really mellow, relaxing yoga session, and some want a really intense workout — it’s definitely great for the brides because it gets their minds off the jitters of the wedding day,” Logan says.
