The Graze on Grace event that was scheduled for downtown on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 28) has been cancelled because of the Hurricane Sandy-associated wind and rain in the forecast. Tracey Leverty of Echelon Event Management says she hopes to reschedule the event, which was to be hosted by the Downtown Neighborhood Association and feature dishes from 25 restaurants, but there are no plans for this season. In a news release, Leverty writes, “What makes these things hard to call is the fact that all of these chefs and food providers begin preparing for events like this 3-4 days in advance and it was just too risky to go to these lengths for a rainy, poorly attended event, or worse, a late cancellation that left them with enormous amounts of food.”
