It hasn’t taken long for customers to discover Michael Anthony Calogerakis’ new restaurant, Anthony’s on the Hill.

“We had no advertising,” says Calogerakis. “But I guess from word of mouth, people just started strolling in and we’ve gotten a lot of repeat business already.”

Anthony's specializes in pasta dishes like

Anthony’s had its grand opening July 5 in the former Buff’s Corner location (2824 E. Broad St., 344-3374).

Calogerakis, who previously owned the Flour Garden bakery, says he is pleased with the response so far. He plans to hand out fliers throughout the area to help spread the word.

With entrées averaging $10 to $12, Anthony’s features a variety of Italian food with an assortment of Neapolitan-style pizzas and pastas as well as salads and antipasto plates. Currently, the restaurant operates from 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner and will soon open for lunch.
