Football’s back, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s the season of tailgates, rivalries and casual get-togethers. Everybody loves to drink and eat while watching their favorite team, and when I’m planning for guests and football, I stick to the basics.

Take chips and salsa, for instance. It’s my game day go-to. (I learned a long time ago not to add figs or ragout to any Sunday-afternoon “menu.”) But served up in this two-tiered Scoop server by Nambé ($250 at Dillard’s), I imagine my store-bought chips and plastic-tub salsa suddenly tasting amazing and my kitchen-island array suddenly looking Pinterest-worthy. This bowl looks that good.

Nambé’s Scoop server was designed by Wei Young, and its streamlined style and double-decker design make it a real head turner. The Scoop is really practical, too. It’s made of a metal alloy, so it won’t crack, tarnish or chip. And measuring just 11 inches across, it’s easy to store it away in a cabinet or a deep drawer. Or heck, leave it on a counter with apples on the bottom and walnuts on top.

Dillard’s is at Short Pump Town Center, Stony Point Fashion Park and the Southpark Mall.
