PoshTots — a favorite website of celebrity moms (Jessica Simpson’s baby boy, for one, sleeps and plays in a nursery full of PoshTot finds) — is having a sample sale this Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale’s being held at 5711 Osborne Turnpike, and sister company PoshLiving, with its sophisticated, luxury lines for the home, is also in on the sample sale action.

I’ve previewed some of the items online, and plenty of great furniture and accessories will be available. Two furniture pieces for children quickly caught my attention. One’s a scrolling Florentine white chest, priced at $879.20, and the other’s a basic chocolate-colored writing desk offered at $543.20.

There’ll be lots of accessories, including nice prints like two vintage framed prints of African animas, now $680 each. They feature sharp-looking mats showcasing four exotic animals in each. These would look great not only in a worldly tot’s room but also in a study or family room.

But if you’re on the lookout for cute, exclusively juvenile wall art, there’s plenty available. For instance, I’m taken with a brightly colored, sunny reproduction Kimono Girl Naoki canvas (pictured) that shouldn’t be missed. It’s 10 by 10 inches wide and sale priced at just $44.10.

Expect a few famed, pricey PoshTots items, too (and boy are these fun to see), but now they’ll come with savings attached. There’s the crazy-cool Pirate Ship Bed that once cost $14,250 and will now be half off, not to mention the fanciful Roziere Hot Air Balloon chandelier, marked down to $1,687.50.

There’ll be well-priced cribs and sophisticated kids’ bedding (that I’d pounce on), along with rugs and accent pieces that are great “adult” items. Stools, such as the Tibet Tulip Cube (pictured), sale priced at $339.15,  or the dynamically hued Baton Rouge Rug measuring 84 by 69 inches and sale priced at $1,020, would make any room shine.
