Settee from Izzie's
Gray continues to be a strong trend, so I’m often on the lookout for items in this nuanced neutral. That’s why I was particularly excited to come across these terrific upholstered pieces, one at Izzie’s Consigning With Grace and the other at Winter Bird Interiors in DéCOR. I just had to share them with you.

Both feature striking gray fabrics, one a chevron pattern and the other a deep gray textural solid. But that's just from the chair's front. The sides and back are smartly upholstered in a simple, modern fabric boasting intertwined circles and diamonds. It's a great suprise detail.

Either piece — bench or chair — would command attention in a good way.

How about featuring the boldly graphic gray-and-white loveseat in an entryway? It could add energy, comfort, usability and sizzle. It’s 40 inches wide and 22 inches deep, and you can find it Izzie’s for $247.

French chair from Wild Bird Interiors
The elegant and curvy French-style tub chair ($1,425 at Winter Bird Interiors) would sing in a bedroom or dressing room for sure. (I know that sitting on it to select outfits and to put on shoes would make me feel like I was in a Parisian salon.) Two of these chairs are available. Pair them up for an elegant tête-à-tête in a parlor or living room. Completely redone, the chairs are about a century old.

Izzie’s Consigning With Grace is at 14300 Midlothian Turnpike. Store hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winter Bird Interiors is in DéCOR, the Design Center of Richmond. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and by appointment at 19 S. Belmont Ave.
