Watching HGTV all the time keeps their new product partnership with Sherwin-Williams on your mind. Together with the paint giant, they’ve created a line featuring eight designer-conceived color concepts that also coordinate with a wallpaper line.

The color categories include fresh themes, ranging from Rustic Refined and Traditional Twist to Neutral Nuance and Coastal Cool. I was really drawn to the paints in the Livable Luxe line. Tricon Black is an intriguing really dark charcoal gray. Urban Organic offers Parakeet, a super apple green. A bright teal, yellow and fuchsia oversized floral wallpaper in the Color Pizzazz line excites and would look great on an accent wall. I see it looking especially good in teen girl’s room hung behind a bed. It would add an upbeat, sophisticated atmosphere.

Creating a harmonious look, one that's pre-coordinated and current, really has never been easier, and exterior paints in the collection also follow these color patterns. Brushes and paint supplies round out the line.

And one more thing about Design Star, which I talked about on Monday: The contestants on the show shopped all over Los Angeles searching out items to round out their rooms. One of their stops has been Anna’s Linens. Richmond has one at 4501 Laburnum Ave. I’ve never been. Have you? It’s on my list now for a scouting tour.

There are 11 Sherwin-Williams stores in the Richmond area. I checked out the collection in their store at 7348 Bell Creek Road in Mechanicsville. The sales staff knew the line well and was also really helpful.
