Did news of Sunday’s private tour at the VMFA for the Art Deco Society of Virginia whet your appetite for Art Deco furnishings and art?

It has for me, and that’s why I was thrilled to discover this Art Deco mirrored console ($950) at The Galleria, the newly opened antiques and interiors emporium at 7800 W. Broad St.

This console’s streamlined symmetry and stepped, ziggurat-style edge and base detail reflect the period with plenty of flair. The all-over mirrored surface bounces light and really evokes the ritzy glamour of the 1920s and 1930s. The table would make an utterly knockout bar.

The Galleria’s first floor has a whopping 47,000 square feet, and it's quickly filling up with more inventory and paintings in its dedicated art gallery.

I’ll share lots more about The Galleria and its offerings this week, including my favorite finds, details on what’s on the floor and what’s on the way.
